Cynthia McKinney to cancel due to family health crisis

Due to a family health crisis Cynthia McKinney has just informed us that she will be unable appear at our conference. We wish Cynthia and her family the very best, and hope to bring our attendees a personal video message from Cynthia at the Friday evening opening. The Friday night keynote speech will commence with Peter Phillips and Annie Machon.

Dr. Dahlia Wasfi to join the speakers line up

While we will miss Cynthia’s warmth, insight and passion, we have the good luck to bring you Dr. Dahlia Wasfi. She has graciously agreed to appear with us on short notice. Dr. Dahlia Wasfi is the daughter of an American Jewish mother and a Muslim Iraqi father.  She will present her perspectives on “America, Israel, and Iraq.” (see: http://understandingdeeppolitics.org/our-speakers/dr-dahlia-wasfi).

Conference News Update – May 7

Kevin Smith to be the Master of Ceremonies

Kevin Smith, former radio producer for Alex Jones, a founder of Radio Free Austin 90.1 & 100.1FM and organizer of the 2006 Los Angeles 9/11 truth conference C-SPAN broadcast, will MC the Deep Politics Conference. Kevin, well known for his warm Texan personality is another welcome addition from the great state of Texas to our event.

Ralph Schoenman to participate in the Sunday panel discussions.

Mr. Schoenman is a champion of the defense of political prisoner, Attorney Lynn Stewart and host of Taking Aim Radio with Mya Shone, which is described as an uncompromising, fact intensive exposé of the hidden workings of a capitalist system addicted to permanent war.  Mr. Schoenman was also active in the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) and an unofficial war crimes tribunal to try American leaders for their conduct in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Schoenman will contribute his deep political analysis, to the panel discussion on Sunday. We welcome him as an addition to our distinguished panel.

Richard Gage, AIA, Architect to attend the Understanding Deep Politics Conference.

Richard Gage, AIA, a San Francisco Bay Area architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects is the founding member of AE911Truth, now with over 1193 architectural and engineering professionals and 8049 other supporters.

Carol Brouillet, former CA Green Party candidate, 9/11 truth and Community Currency activist, will attend the Understanding Deep Politics conference! Carol always a beehive of organizing activity, will be looking forward to the many opportunities for discussion and activism at the conference.

Cindy Sheehan to cover the Understanding Deep Politics Conference.

Video Crew Confirmed!

The video crew from 9/11TV.org will be recording a 3-camera shoot of our event. Editing for web posting will begin immediately after the event and production for a full DVD set will begin in June. There has been a lot of interest in a DVD of the conference, so stay posted to the website for news on the DVD after the conference.
