Crossing The Rubicon: DeSantis Covid Vaccine Grand Jury
On Wednesday, December 13th, 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held a roundtable of physicians, researchers, and victims of Covid shots. The governor has also petitioned the Florida Supreme Court to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate Covid vaccine crimes. The grand jury petition cites pharmaceutical statements claiming efficacy and statements that the risks of getting Covid far outweigh potential side effects from the shots. Both statements were false. Increased risks of myocarditis from the shots are mentioned and the petition asserts that Florida law prohibits fraud. Specifically, the petition states:
Questions have been raised regarding the veracity of the representations made by the pharmaceutical manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines, particularly with respect to transmission, prevention, efficacy, and safety. An investigation is warranted to determine whether the pharmaceutical industry has engaged in fraudulent practices. The people of Florida deserve to know the truth.
The grand jury appears to have broad investigational authority:
(a) Individuals, persons, and entities, including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical manufacturers (and their executive officers) and other medical associations or organizations involved in the design, development, clinical testing or investigation, manufacture, marketing, representation, advertising, promotion, labeling, distribution, formulation, packing, sale, purchase, donation, dispensing, prescribing, administration, or use of vaccines purported to prevent COVID-19 infection, symptoms, and transmission;
In addition to issuing reports the grand jury will also have the power to indict:
Pursuant to sections 905.33 and 905.34, the jurisdiction of
the statewide grand jury will extend throughout the state to
investigate crimes, return indictments, make presentments or direct
issuance of reports, and otherwise perform all functions of a
statewide grand jury with regard to any offense enumerated 1n
section 905.34…
It appears that this grand jury is legitimate. It is always possible that it will be a dog and pony show and release reports and suggestions with no indictments. This is the cynical view of the whole affair. This may of course be the case and the grand jury could be what some call a ‘limited hangout’. Essentially an admission of some degree of culpability and a misdirection designed to manipulate. The description of a limited hangout is much more detailed, but for our purposes it will suffice.
The reason I say that it appears the grand jury is legitimate is because it would be a political disaster for Governor DeSantis to have a bogus grand jury issue reports and recommendations. In fact, I would argue such a thing would be career ending. Whether he knows it or not, Governor DeSantis, has crossed the Rubicon on this issue.
It was only after outrage was bubbling up from people across the state, that Florida finally lifted its illegal unconstitutional lockdowns, and likewise later recommend against masks. Similarly, the petition for a grand jury is not a top down move. The energy for this grand jury has been bubbling up in spite of tremendous resistance.
For example, I am one of many that have been pushing back. Just to share some of my own actions. I recently called for a roundtable and a grand jury in an open letter to the governor about a month ago. More recently I called for AG Moody and any of Florida’s state attorneys to seek indictments. Both of these articles were sent directly and linked to by LewRockwell.com and were read by thousands of people as a result. Earlier this year I was calling on my county commissioners to stop transmissions of funds for these shots and especially to protect children.
In September and October of 2021 our local Republican Party executive committee battled over a resolution I presented calling coerced face masks, lockdowns, and Covid shots a violation of the Nuremberg Code and a crime against humanity. After passing almost unanimously in September, a technicality forced the resolution to be presented again in October. The executive board worked hard to derail the resolution and confuse people and it did not pass. Instead, a bogus resolution praising DeSantis passed. The results of this move finally played out last weekend as the four member executive board was replaced by a slate of America First candidates. This has sent some shockwaves across the state Republican political party. Even though it is a local event I may write an article on this because it is relevant to the similar battles going on across the country that I outlined in America’s Silent War.
This synopsis of my actions is simply to convey the point that many people across the state have been and will continue to push for indictments. My own efforts are limited and on their own had a limited effect. However, the simultaneous actions of many unconnected outraged citizens had a tremendous effect. If I was doing it, so were countless others.
